What ages is this pen recommended for?
The SCRIB3D Advanced is recommended for makers ages 14+ due to the high temperature of the nozzle when extruding filament. The pen temperature can be adjusted from 160°C to 210°C.

What size filament does the pen need?
The SCRIB3D Advanced uses 1.75 mm filament spools. The pen set comes with PLA filament and is also compatible with PET, TPU, nylon, and wood filaments to expand creative possibilities.

Is there any setup involved?
No setup or special tools required. Simply plug the adapter into the back of the pen, set the temperature by choosing the filament type and clicking the forward button, wait for the pen to warm up then add filament to begin creating.

What type of battery or charging cable does the pen require?
The ADV does not operate on a battery - it must be plugged in to operate. It comes with a 3.5 mm barrel DC power adapter and requires a consistent 5V and 2A to run correctly. You can use a power bank or portable charger with 5V, 2A for on the go.

Double click the forward button to start the pen and feed the filament through the back of the pen. Once the filament has reached the nozzle of the pen, click forward to stop the pen. Press the forward button once to start: click once to stop. Once you have completed your design, hold the reverse button to retract filament.
