The K7 supports both MP3 and WMA audio files from the SD card. Recordings you make from cassette or through the built-in microphone are saved as MP3.

How loud is the built-in speaker - can I expect a lot of volume?
The built-in speaker is rated at 0.5W, designed for casual, close-range listening rather than filling a room. For richer sound or sharing with others, we'd recommend the included earphones or an external speaker through the 3.5mm jack.

Does the K7 auto-reverse to play both sides, or do I need to flip the tape myself?
You'll need to flip the tape manually to play or record the second side - the K7 doesn't have auto-reverse. This keeps the mechanism simple and reliable for repeated digitizing sessions.

When I record a tape, does it split into separate track files or save as one continuous file?
Each side records as a single continuous MP3 file rather than splitting automatically into individual tracks. If you want individual songs as separate files, you can trim them afterward using free audio editing software.
